3G Pitch

London Road Sports Centre is delighted to offer a state-of-the-art 3G playing surface in Shrewsbury. Already huge in many countries, 3G pitches are becoming more and more important in the Football Association's eyes.

With our inclement weather, many grass pitches cannot be played on at certain times of the year. Not only does the rain and cold make them difficult to play on, but dangerous too. The 3G surface, however, is much more hard-wearing. Its playability also makes for improved technique, especially amongst younger players, which is important for the football stars of the future.

We have had Shrewsbury Town FC use our 3G pitch for training. We have also welcomed groups and men and women just wanting a game with friends. Full pitch, half pitch, third of pitch, we have different options.
