3G Pitch

London Road Sports Centre is proud to stand at the heart of Shrewsbury's grassroots football community, offering a state-of-the-art 3G playing surface designed to support local clubs, teams, and players of all ages. As every local coach and player knows, our unpredictable weather can devastate the grassroots calendar, leaving traditional grass pitches waterlogged, unplayable, and hazardous during the colder months. By providing a reliable, all-weather surface, we ensure that local teams don't lose precious training time or weekend matches. This hard-wearing facility not only keeps local football alive year-round, but its superior playability also helps players of all abilities—especially the next generation of grassroots talent—develop better technique and confidence on the ball. Our commitment to the local game goes beyond professional pathways; while we are thrilled to have hosted training sessions for Shrewsbury Town FC, our primary passion is supporting the grassroots ecosystem. From local amateur clubs and youth leagues to groups of friends and men and women simply wanting a kickabout, we provide flexible pitch options (full, half, or third) to ensure everyone in our community has access to top-tier facilities.
