Athletics Track
We converted London Road's previous Redgra track into a top-level six-lane (eight-lane straight), 400-metre synthetic surface. The track is porous and, because a new drainage system was installed, it is much more resistant to the British weather.
Our athletics track in Shrewsbury meets the International Association of Athletics Federation's standards. Field athletes benefit from a new and improved javelin runway and a shot putt, hammer and discus area. The upgrade also included a premium long jump and high jump. The athletics track is covered by new floodlights and surrounded by post & rail spectator fencing.

Open track sessions are available daily. All quests wishing to attend the open sessions must book prior and sign in with reception on entry.
